Student Clinic: Patient Journey in Breast Cancer at Diagnostiek en Advies

As part of the new medicine bachelor's program, student clinics offer an opportunity for students to gain insights into healthcare from perspectives other than that of the physician. Second-year medical students engage in healthcare activities, but not in their future role as doctors. In this clinic, two pairs of students will explore all departments at Diagnostiek en Advies (DenA) over 20 weeks, dedicating half a day per week to each department (approximately 3 weeks per department). Through a case study (patient journey), the clinic aims to familiarize students with integrated diagnostics and counseling within DenA.
