Networking Event: Kanker onderzoeksfonds Limburg (KOFL) Business Friends at MUMC+
On Tuesday, November 4, 2025, a networking event was held at MUMC+ by the Kankeronderzoekfonds Limburg (KOFL) Business Friends, attended by approximately 90
participants.
During the meeting, an overview was presented of the research conducted at MUMC+ involving patients with lung cancer, followed by interactive demo sessions.
Representing the pharmacy department, Robin van Geel, Sander Croes and Maud Salmans were present. Robin delivered a presentation on the crucial role of the pharmacy and the hotlab in producing 68Ga-FAPI-46. This radiopharmaceutical is being investigated as a potentially superior imaging method compared to current techniques using a radioactive glucose analog (18F-FDG) for detecting metastases in lung cancer.
This research has been made possible thanks to a grant from KOFL.
