Funding Award for the LOGIC Project

Judith de Ruijter has received a grant of €300,000 from the Academisch Fonds (MUMC+) for her project:  LOGIC (Longitudinal monitoring and Optimization of medication Use: an Infrastructural projeCt for patient safety). This project aims to improve insight into patients’ medication use at home within the hospital setting, with the objective of further enhancing quality of care and patient safety.
The project focuses on the development of a hospital-wide digital infrastructure that integrates medication data from EPIC and primary care data sources into a single longitudinal patient overview. This infrastructure can be used to support innovation in healthcare, research, and education. For the first time, it will enable the visibility of patients’ longitudinal medication use, from before hospital admission until after discharge.
Co-applicants include: Fatma Karapinar-Çarkit, Fabienne Magdelijns and Marieke Pierik.
