ICOD congress
From 27 to 29 April, Yannick Nielen, Fatma Karapinar and Veerle van Hulten attended the International Conference on Deprescribing (ICOD) 2026 in Montreal.
During the conference, Yannick presented the work of Sabeth Spronk: “Secondary data analysis of adverse drug reactions reported by healthcare professionals and patients: interventions to manage ADRs,” and Valmira Isufi, “Improved recognition and management of prescribing cascades: a controlled evaluation of the CASC-ADE tool.” These presentations focused on the identification and management of adverse drug reactions and prescribing cascades, as well as the added value of innovative tools to support and improve these processes.
The conference was highly inspiring, offering valuable discussions and new insights from an international perspective. It was encouraging to see how research and clinical practice converge worldwide to further strengthen medication safety.
