Visit to the University of Toronto

Fatma Karapinar, Veerle van Hulten and Yannick Nielen visited the University of Toronto (Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Toronto). During the visit, presentations were delivered on “Real-world complexity of prescribing cascades and interventions” and on the project focusing on data-driven detection, management, and prevention of prescribing cascades. The presentations highlighted the complexity of prescribing cascades in clinical practice, as well as potential strategies to improve their identification, mitigation, and, where possible, prevention.
