About
Paddy Janssen studied Pharmacy at Utrecht University and graduated in 2001. As part of his training, Paddy did a research internship at Janssen Pharmaceutica, where he conducted pharmacodynamic research. He started his internship in 2002 at the central hospital pharmacy (Apotheek Haagse Ziekenhuizen) in The Hague to become a hospital pharmacist. Currently (since 2009) he works at the Clinical Pharmacy department of VieCuri MC in Venlo.
For his PhD at the University of Urecht in 2014, he studied the personalization of treatment and the genetic influences of premature ejaculation. He trained in clinical pharmacology at the MUMC+ in Maastricht to become a clinical pharmacologist in 2016.
Since 2018, he has also been a senior researcher at the Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Toxicology at Maastricht UMC+. In his work he combines teaching and research activities.
His research focuses on individualizing drug treatments.
