About
Judith de Ruijter - van Dalem studied Pharmacy at Utrecht University and graduated in 2011. As part of her master program, Judith completed a research internship at the University of Sydney on the topic of adherence to cardiovascular medicines. After finishing her studies, she worked as a pharmacist in the hospitals in Alkmaar and Hoorn before she started her traineeship at Zuyderland Medical Centre in Heerlen and Maastricht University Medical Centre+ (MUMC+) in 2013 to become a hospital pharmacist.
During this traineeship, she started her PhD project at the department of Clinical Pharmacy and Toxicology of MUMC+ and at CARIM (School for Cardiovascular Diseases) of Maastricht University. Her research focused on the association between the use of glucose-lowering agents and several diabetes related outcomes. Currently, Judith is appointed as a hospital pharmacist at the MUMC+.
