About
Kjell van der Walle graduated as a pharmacist from KU Leuven in 2023, completing his master’s thesis entitled “The Cost-Effectiveness of Etanercept Tapering in Patients with Established Rheumatoid Arthritis in Terms of Disease Control”. During his university studies he conducted research in the Clinical Pharmacy and Toxicology department at MUMC+, focusing on the safety of parenteral medication administration. After graduation, he returned to the department to work as a pharmacist. Since 2024, he started working on his PhD alongside the hospital pharmacy training program. His current research focusses on identifying, preventing, and mitigating prescribing cascades.
